Event Description
The Monett Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a "Chalk Walk" during Broadway Nights on August 13th.
Rules and Regulations
Teams: Age 15 + Teams: Age 14 & under
Individuals: Age 15 + Individuals: Age 14 & under
Artist will be provided with chalk and assigned sidewalk space = 4’ x 4’. Artists are welcome to use their own chalk if they desire (only sidewalk chalk is to be used).
Participants will have 2 hours to complete their artwork. Drawing stops at 6:30 PM - Judging begins at 6:45 PM.
Artwork will be judged on creativity, imagination, and color. The decision of the judges will be final.
All artwork will be photographed and may be displayed on the Chamber website or in publications.
Adult supervision required for contestants under age 15 until project is completed.
Teams may consist of 1-3 artists. There can only be one lead artist, with a maximum of two supporting artists per space.
Art must be family friendly. Organizers have the right to disqualify and/or remove any inappropriate art or writing as they deem necessary.
No stenciling. Photos and drawings maybe used as a guide only.
No political or commercial advertising statements are allowed.
Sign your work.
Artists are responsible for cleaning their area after their art is completed and prior to judging.
Contest - Weather Permitting – No rain date.
